Orthofix gets clearance for pediatric plating system

Orthopedic implant manufacturer Orthofix has received clearance for its JuniOrtho plating system in the U.S. and Europe, according to a July 20 announcement.

Three things to know:

1. JuniOrtho is designed to address advanced deformity and trauma reconstruction in the lower extremity field.

2. The system is intended for the treatment of congenital deformities in the proximal femur, distal femur and tibia as well as articular fractures.

3. The device is available in Europe and will be launched in the U.S. later this year.
