Ortho Development Releases Integrated Spine System

Ortho Development, a Salt Lake City-based orthopedic device company, recently released the Integrated Spine System designed to treat adult degenerative pathologies, according to a company news release.

The pedicle screw system includes an external locking cap to eliminate cross threading, a friction head to maintain tulip position, a bone preserving screw thread design and 5.5-mm or 6.0-mm titanium rods. Federico Girardi, MD, and Andrew Sama, MD, spine surgeons at the Hospital for Special Surgery, have helped develop and refined the ISS.

The company is currently seeking independent distributors to expand representation in the U.S.
