Here are six notes:

1. The Direct Anterior HipAlign has been approved for total hip arthroplasty surgeries.

2. JMHLW approved UniAlign for unicompartmental knee arthroplasty procedures.

3. Japanese surgeons are increasingly adopting the direct anterior approach as it yields a quicker recovery, less pain and return to normal function for hip patients.

4. HipAlign offers accurate cup placement positions without any preoperative imaging or intraoperative fluoroscopy. The system accounts for pelvic tilt when measuring abduction and anteversion angles of the acetabular cup.

5. UniAlign identifies the varus/valgus angle and the posterior slope angle of the cutting block relative to the tibia, for the transverse resection.

6. OrthAlign’s partner, ZimmerBiomet Japan, will distribute Direct Anterior HipAlign and UniAlign in Japan.
