Orchid Orthopedic Solutions receives $300k grant

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions received a $300,000 state grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, according to a Lansing State Journal report.

The grant will help fund the cost of training 35 new employees that will be hired as the result of a $4.8 million expansion. The expansion also includes the addition of new manufacturing equipment.

 

The company includes 243 workers at its headquarters in Holt and more than 1,700 nationwide, according to the report.

 

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions also opened a $1 million manufacturing facility in Jackson, Tenn., in April.
