Safdar Khan, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, used the Augmedics Xvision spine system for spine implant procedures, according to a Sept. 14 announcement. He used the technology to see a 3D model of a patient’s spine while looking at them on the operating table.
“The addition of augmented reality to the full complement of complex spinal care available at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center will enhance our clinical team’s ability to develop an effective, personalized treatment plan for patients,” Dr. Khan said.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
