NuVasive unveils Magec X for early onset scoliosis treatment: 3 things to know

NuVasive unveiled the Magec X at the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas.

1. The Magec X is NuVasive’s newest Early Onset Scoliosis procedural solution, featuring a new 5 millimeter rod option which offers a 68 percent improved fatigue-strength performance over the previous 4.5 millimeter option.

2. The Magec system features magnetically controlled growing rods intended to eliminate planned distraction surgeries from early onset scoliosis treatment.

3. NuVasive will kick off its Journey Together Program in summer 2018, offering a limited warranty on Magec X rods when used with cleared NuVasive procedural solutions.
