NuVasive names chief information officer to help execute strategic goals: 5 key notes

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Mr. Lai has more than 20 years of experience in IT leadership and will begin his new position on Aug. 31.
 

2. He will be responsible for advancing the company’s information technology systems, processes and procedures, transforming them into a competitive advantage.

 

3. Mr. Lai will help execute the company’s strategic goals, integrate systems and scale the business to deliver a better customer experience differentiating the company from others in the market.

 

4. Mr. Lai has been vice president of IT for Thermo Fisher Scientific where he provided IT leadership to the laboratory products business group. He drove a process that created a combined IT vision and executed global programs to achieve target revenue and cost synergy objectives.

 

5. Mr. Lai has an MBA from the University of California at Davis with an emphasis on MIS, accounting and finance.
