Dr. Ardeshir Ardeshiri performed the first case using NGMedical GmbH’s Move-P motion preserving lumbar spine system, according to a Feb. 9 news release.
Move-P is a pedicle screw-based system designed to top off a spinal fusion. The implant was debuted in human patients as part of a multicenter trial in Germany.
“I am excited to be part of this feasibility trial and implanting the first MOVE-P ever,” Dr. Ardeshiri said in the release. “MOVE-P works like an internal brace, supporting physiological motion in the adjacent level to a fusion. The implantation was smooth by the sophisticated instrumentation, and I am happy with the radiological result.”
