Patrick Roth, MD, and Roy Vingan, MD, performed the practice’s first spine cases with the augmented reality navigation system. The xvision system uses a headset to project the position of surgical tools on a CT scan and lets physicians look at the patient and navigation data simultaneously.

Since the debut case, New Jersey Brain and Spine used the system in 41 patients.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
