Nevro selects Coastal Orthopedics for clinical trial: 4 key notes

Nevro selected Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine and Pain Management in Bradenton, Fla., to participate in a clinical trial, according to a report by The Bradenton Times.

Here are four key notes:

 

1. Nevro is a medical device company developing spinal cord stimulators, including its proprietary Senza system.

 

2. The study will include up to 75 patients, of which 10 or 15 are patients of Richard H. Bundschu, MD, an interventional pain specialist with Coastal Orthopedics.

 

3. The study will evaluate the efficacy of Nevro’s spinal cord stimulators in treating chronic neck and arm pain.

 

4. Dr. Bundschu has worked with Nevro on two previous studies that helped the company’s products earn FDA approval.
