National Academy of Engineering Elects Mazor Robotics Founder, CTO Moshe Shoham as Member

Mazor Robotics announced its Founder and Chief Technology Officer Professor Moshe Shoham was elected into the National Academy of Engineering for contributions to robotic technology for image-guided surgery.

Professor Shoham is head of the Robotics Laboratory at Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Israel as well as the Tamara and Harry Handelsman Academic Chair. He founded Mazor Robotics in 2001.

 

During his career, he has earned numerous awards, including the Thomas A. Edison Patent Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2014.
