Missouri Delta Medical Center 1st in region to use Kiva VCF Treatment System

Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo., successfully completed the first surgery using the Kiva VCF Treatment System in the region, according to a Sikeston Standard Democrat report.

The KIVA system is used to treat vertebral compression fractures. Franklin Hayward II, DO, of Heartland Spine Institute in Cape Girardeau, Mo., performed the procedure at the center, according to the report.
