MiRus has earned New Technology Add-On Payment from CMS for its EUROPA Posterior Cervical System.
The system is used for the treatment of the cervical and upper thoracic spine and is built around the company’s 2.9 mm MoRe rod, according to an Aug. 1 news release from MiRus.
The EUROPA PCF System has also been awarded Breakthrough Device Designation by the FDA.
By utilizing lower diameter rods, surgeons can perform more durable and less invasive spine procedures, the release said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
