Merete Technologies’ epiphysiodesis staples receive FDA approval: 3 notes

Merete Technologies’ PediatrOS RigidTack and FlexTack novel epiphysiodesis staples have received FDA 510(k) clearance, according to a Health Point Capital report.

Here are three notes:

 

1. The staples are intended to help guide growth in children and adolescents with leg length differences and angular deformities.

 

2. PediatrOS FlexTack inhibits bone growth to correct valgus or varus deformities.

 

3. PediatrOS RidigTack constrains the growth plate of the longer leg until the length is adjusted.
