Three things to know:
1. The layoff includes both hourly and salaried employees at the manufacturing facility in the second wave of layoffs since May.
2. The layoffs were announced as the company moves work to its plant in Danvers, Mass. Medtronic expects the layoffs to occur over four years.
3. Employees affected by this current layoff will still work through May 2020 and will be offered a bonus to continue working through that time.
