Medtronic names 1st chief sustainability officer

Med tech and device manufacturer Medtronic appointed Raman Venkatesh as the company’s first chief sustainability officer.

In the role, Mr. Venkatesh will lead the development and execution of Medtronic’s environmental sustainability strategy, according to a LinkedIn post from Ken Washington, the company’s chief technology and innovation officer. 

Mr. Venkatesh also serves as a strategic adviser of Tau Ventures, a venture capital fund.

He will begin in the role Feb. 19, the post said.
