Medtronic, Exactech, RTI Surgical & more: 9 device company key notes

Here are nine key notes on orthopedic and spine device companies from the past week.

Dublin, Ireland-based Medtronic released its third quarter fiscal year 2017 financial report, with revenue increased 5 percent over the same period last year. The company’s Memphis, Tenn.-based spine division reported its best performance in seven years.

 

Alachua, Fla.-based RTI Surgical reported worldwide revenue increased to $272.9 million, down 3 percent from 2015 revenues.

 

Austin, Texas-based Wenzel Spine acquired Addison, Texas-based OsteoMed’s PrimaLOK SP Interspinous Fusion System as well as its PrimaLOK FF Facet Fixation System.

 

Gainesville, Fla.-based Exactech reported a 7 percent increase in its 2016 revenue over 2015, with similar growth in fourth quarter revenue.

 

Malden, Mass.-based AxioMed reported positive results for the first patient undergoing a viscoelastic four-level cervical procedure.

 

Irvine, Calif.-based GS Medical plans to launch the AnyPlus Anterior Cervical Interbody Fusion and the AnyPlus Dual-Lead Pedicle Screw System in March 2017.

 

Memphis, Tenn.-based Active Implants has named Ted Davis its president and CEO.

 

Minimus Spine appointed Jeffrey R. Binder to its board of directors.

 

U.K.-based Corin Group will distribute France-based FX Solution’s Reverse Shoulder System in the U.S.
