Here are five insights:

1. The DenerveX System is designed to denervate and remove capsular tissue from the facet joint in one procedure.

2. The system removes the targeted facet joint synovial membrane and joint surface while heat ablation destroys tissue and denudes any residual nervous and synovial membrane overlying the joint.

3. Medovex released the results of two patients assessed five weeks after being treated with the system. One patient reported 70 percent reduction in pain and other reported pain decreased 80 percent.

4. Training for the system and first order began earlier in September. In addition, DenerveX System received Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration approval.

5. The system has not received FDA clearance.
