Mazor Robotics expects Q1 revenue of $11.5M — 5 insights

Caesarea, Israel-based Mazor Robotics projects first quarter 2017 earnings of about $11.5 million, spurred by Mazor X sales as well as an increased number of procedures.

Here are five insights:

 

1. In Q1 2017, Mazor received six Mazor X purchase orders in the United States. Two of these purchases represented trade-in orders from customers who previously bought the Renaissance system.

 

2. On the international sale, Mazor received a purchase order for a Renaissance brain module upgrade.

 

3. In Q1 2016, Mazor saw $6.4 million in revenue and received five Renaissance purchase orders.

 

4. Mazor has sold 40 Mazor X systems since its launch in the second half of 2016.

 

5. The company will report its Q1 financial results in May.
