Mako Surgical Reports Surge in Third-Quarter Revenues

Mako Surgical reports revenue of $6.7 million in the third quarter of 2009, compared with $0.8 million in the previous year, according to a release from Mako.

The 2009 figure included $4.6 million from sales of six of its RIO systems and $2.0 million from sales of its implants for 418 Makoplasty procedures.

The company markets the RIO Robotic-Arm Interactive Orthopedic system and Restoris implants for minimally invasive orthopedic knee procedures.
