Lumiere Retractor System Receives Cosmetic Upgrades

Stamford, Conn.-based Orthozon Technologies’ patented Lumiere Retractor System for micro endoscopic spine surgery has received several upgrades.

The device will be available to physicians in 2014 with new features, including a hand-held LED light sources with flexible fiber optic fibers. The retractor also comes in a larger size for more complex spinal fusions.

The device also has a new rotating cap and custom grip handle for easier opening and closing of retractor blades.

The Lumiere was approved by the FDA in March.
