Lima’s Physica knee system used in 1st US surgery: 4 things to know

Lima USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lima Corporate, announced that the first total knee arthroplasty cases featuring Lima’s Physica knee system in the United States were performed in November.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The cases were performed by Paul Maitino, DO, in Oklahoma City.

 

2. The patented Physica Kinematic Retaining knee device is designed to induce the natural movement of femoral and rotation while reducing sliding friction in early flexion.

 

3. The device was officially launched earlier this year in Europe.
