The first surgeon to use the device was Sean Jebraili, MD, the release said. He said the device was as strong and effective as larger footprints, which let him “achieve excellent disc height restoration.”

“The 8mm width of PROLIFT was designed to support Micro Invasive TLIFs and Midline PLIFs,” Mariusz Knap, Life Spine senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “As with the other footprints of Prolift, the 8mm width is self-locking at any height, can be post packed in situ, can be collapsed and repositioned easily if needed and features the proprietary OSSEO-LOC Surface Technology.”
