Leica Microsystems launches microscope for spine surgery

Leica Microsystems launched the ARveo 8x, a hybrid surgical microscope for spine, neurosurgery and plastic reconstructive procedures.

The microscope combines Leica optics with 3D visualization technologies and digital data integration, according to a June 30 news release. It has advanced illumination for tissue protection and fluorescence imaging to support surgeons during complex surgeries.

Leica Microsystems is based in Wetzlar, Germany.
