LaunchPad Medical to license Stryker’s bone adhesive technology: 4 quick notes

LaunchPad Medical entered into a definitive agreement to license Stryker’s bone adhesive technology.

Here are four quick notes:

 

1. Under the agreement, LaunchPad received an exclusive worldwide license from Stryker for this technology, which is covered by four issued and three pending U.S. patents.

 

2. The technology is based on a unique synthetic biomaterial called Tetranite, which includes the ability to provide immediate fixation of bone to bone and bone to metal.

 

3. The adhesive technology has been shown to be a non-toxic and effective in multiple animal studies.

 

4. LaunchPad will seek to commercialize this technology for use in repairing damaged teeth and bones.
