Lafayette General Medical Center implements MAKOplasty technology

Lafayette General Medical Center implemented MAKOplasty technology for hip and knee replacements, according to an Ind report.

MAKOplasty technology is a robotic arm-guided procedure typically used for reconstruction of bone surfaces. MAKO also offers partial resurfacing, and features the Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System. LGMC is the first hospital in Acadiana to offer the treatment, according to the report.
