Kahtnu Surgical raises $2M+ to boost spine, orthopedic implant development

Spinal implant developer Kahtnu Surgical has raised $2.15 million in a Series A financing round, according to a July 15 announcement.

Four things to know:

1. The company plans to use the funds to expand global sales and marketing efforts and ramp up its product development.

2. Kahtnu Surgical’s portfolio includes the Kasilof cervical plate, Chena-C PEEK spacer and Talkeetna pedicle screw systems for spine surgery.

3. The company also partnered with U.K.-based Ortho Consulting Group to support sales channels outside the U.S.

4. Founded Axis360 Surgical, the company rebranded as Kahtnu Surgical in July to better reflect its origins as an Alaska company.
