1. In the acquisition, IZI Medical Products purchased products under the Duro-Ject Osteo-Site, Osteo-Force and Vertefix brands.
2. Acquired products include needles, injectors and cements used for treating vertebral compression fractures via a minimally invasive approach.
3. Neuro-interventional radiologist Kieran Murphy, MD, invented the primary needle and developed a lot of the vertebroplasty product line offered by Cook.
4. In light of the acquisition, Dr. Murphy will be a key opinion leader on product development for IZI.
5. Michael Shaffer will move from his role at Shore Capital Partners to serve as IZI’s CFO.
