Shayna Korol -

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery orthopedic surgeon David Mayman, MD, performed the first cases using OrthAlign's KneeAlign CFS system.

Here are four things to know:

1. The CFS system is an accessory that can be used during KneeAlign-assisted total knee arthroplasty procedures. It is designed to provide for rotation and soft tissue balancing.

2. OrthAlign's portfolio also includes UniAlign for partial knee replacements and HipAlign for total hip arthroplasties. The company's devices are designed to provide real-time, actionable data for precise alignment and implant component positioning.

3. According to OrthAlign Chairman and CEO Eric Timko, KneeAlign has been used in more than 75,000 cases worldwide.

4. Dr. Mayman serves as the co-director of computer-assisted surgery at HSS.
