InVivo appoints Dr. Richard Toselli CEO: 5 things to know

InVivo Therapeutics named Richard Toselli, MD, permanent CEO and president. He had been serving as acting CEO since Dec. 2017.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. In addition to serving as CEO, Dr. Toselli will serve on the company’s board of directors.

 

2. Dr. Toselli will continue serving as CMO, a role he has been serving since joining InVivo in July 2017.

 

3. Throughout his career, Dr. Toselli held leadership positions at DePuy Synthes, Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi.

 

4. Dr. Toselli is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery.

 

5. He previously served as the director of the spine center at Chapel Hill-based University of North Carolina.
