Here’s what you need to know:
1. Dr. Toselli replaces Mark Perrin who resigned as CEO and chair of the board of directors. Mr. Perrin will serve as a consultant to the company for six months.
2. Board certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Toselli has held leadership positions for DePuy Synthes and Johnson & Johnson. He will continue serving role as InVivo’s chief medical officer.
3. Prior to joining InVivo, Dr. Toselli served as chief medical officer for Cochlear Limited where he was responsible for clinical, regulatory and medical affairs teams.
4. InVivo also named Ann Merrifield the chair of the board of directors. She previously served as the company’s lead director.
5. Ms. Merrifield serves on the board of directors for Flexion Therapeutics, Juniper Pharmaceuticals and Veritas Genetics. Prior to joining InVivo, she served as CEO of PathoGenetix.
