Intellirod Spine launches wearable sensor to track patient recovery post-surgery

Intellirod Spine unveiled iLink, a Bluetooth-enabled sensor that attaches to spinal braces to monitor patient recovery after spine surgery.

Three insights:

1. iLink is intended to provide physicians with objective data on wearing compliance.

2. The device can be attached to any brace, orthotic or prosthetic to measure wearing compliance, upright posture time and mobility through a smartphone app.

3. Hourly data is sent once a day to a cloud enabling physicians to access remotely through a web portal.
