Arthrex to add 350 jobs for new facility — 5 highlights

Arthrex plans to add 350 jobs in an additional manufacturing plant in Ave Maria, Fla., according to the Business Observer.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. Gov. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) said Arthrex hired 260 new employees in the past year alone.

 

2. Arthrex currently employs over 2,000 Florida residents.

 

3. The privately-held firm manufactures surgical equipment for orthopedic surgeons and has developed more than 9,500 products.

 

4. In addition to its headquarters in Naples, Fla., and the manufacturing facility at Ave Maria, Arthrex operates a facility in Fort Myers. The company also has offices in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

 

5. Recently, Fortune magazine named Arthrex one of the top 100 companies to work for in the country.
