Houston Methodist has integrated two 7D Flash Navigation Systems to improve surgical navigation.
The installation of the systems, which was led by Paul Holman, MD, provides more efficient and radiation-free workflows, according to a July 1 LinkedIn post.
Dr. Holman is a neurosurgeon and spine surgeon at Houston Methodist. He has clinical interests in adult scoliosis, spinal deformity correction, spinal navigation, robotic surgery, kyphoplasty and vertobroplasty.
The 7D Flash Navigation System was created by Orthofix and is the first approved image-guidance system for spine and cranial procedures that utilizes proprietary camera-based technology and advanced machine-vision algorithms, according to its website.
