The orthopedic devicemaker plans to purchase a facility that will focus on the design, development and commercialization of implants.
The facility is expected to create 243 jobs. It will be close to the company’s Audubon, Pa., headquarters.
Founded in 2003 with a focus on spinal technologies, Globus Medical has grown to include broader musculoskeletal solutions, including devices for traumatic fractures, joint reconstruction and robotic navigation.
The company has launched more than 200 products.
