Frankfurt University Hospital purchases ROSA robotic surgery system

France-based MEDTECH sold one of its ROSA robots to Frankfurt University in Germany.

The ROSA robot is focused on minimally invasive spine and brain surgery. It has been approved in Europe, the United States and Canada, and received the “European Company of the Year” award in the robotic neurosurgery category from Frost & Sullivan in 2013.

 

Frankfort Hospital is among the largest healthcare facilities in Germany with more than 3,000 patients treated for neurological disorders per year. The neurosurgery department is international and offers several approaches to brain and spine surgery.

 

The ROSA system has been used to treat epilepsy and Parkinson’s Disease.
