1. Dr. Murphy has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, with executive leadership roles at Medtronic, LivaNova and St. Jude Medical.
2. He spent 10 years at Medtronic in several research and development and engineering roles. Most recently, he served as CTO of LivaNova, which specializes in neuromodulation and cardiac surgery systems.
3. Dr. Murphy will be tasked with advancing GTX’s neuromodulation line, which aims to improve the functional recovery of people with spinal cord injuries.
4. GTX develops implantable and non-invasive spinal cord stimulation devices.
