Former Integra LifeSciences CCO named Orthofix president of global extremities

Orthopedic device company Orthofix has appointed Paul Gonsalves president of its global extremities business, according to a Sept. 14 news release.

Mr. Gonsalves brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role, with executive leadership roles at biopharmaceutical company Novartis, WellCare Health Plans and GE Healthcare.

He joins from medical technology company Integra Lifesciences, where he served as chief commercial officer for the past five years. He previously served as senior vice president, enterprise sales and corporate marketing at Integra LifeSciences as well. 

Mr. Gonsalves’ “experience and relationships with surgeons and hospitals” will be key in expanding the availability of Orthofix’s products, said CEO Jon Serbousek.
