First U.S. cervical spine surgery with Mitaka USA Kestrel View successful

Robert Masson, MD, a spine surgeon and founder of NeuroSpine Institute of Orlando performed the first cervical spine surgery in the world using the Mitaka USA Kestrel View.

Dr. Masson performed the procedure at NSI Surgery Center. Max Sturgis founded Mitaka USA in 1997 to develop new technologies in microscopic, fluorescent and three-dimensional surgical imaging. The company is partners with Mitaka Kohki, Hamamatsu, Karl Storz and Leica Microsystems.
