First Ray’s CortiClamp System receives FDA clearance: 4 takeaways

First Ray received FDA 510(k) clearance for its CortiClamp System for small bone fixation.

1. The CortiClamp System is a two-part bone screw system. Its second screw head is attached to the distal end of the screw.

 

2. The design provides screw heads on both ends of the screw shaft creating a bi-cortical clamping force.

 

3. The system also features an “all-in-one” instrument that serves as a reduction clamp, drill guide, countersink guide, depth gage and implant delivery guide.
