The surgery system uses new camera-based technology and machine vision algorithms to eliminate frustrations associated with long-standing surgical navigational platforms. The technology can acquire hundreds of thousands of virtual fiducials using the patient’s anatomy, creating a nearly instantaneous cranial registration in almost any surgical position.

7D Surgical is a privately owned company in Toronto that develops advanced optical technology and machine vision-based registration algorithms for improved surgical workflow and patient care.
