The cage system is an alternative to the traditional inner cage lifting screw, aiding in foraminal height restoration and facilitating indirect decompression, according to an Oct. 19 news release from Expanding Innovations.
Brandon Strenge, MD, completed some of the first procedures using the system at the Orthopaedic Institute of Western Kentucky in Paducah.
The commercial launch of the product is the first in a series of releases by Expanding Innovations to grow the company’s non-screw-based expandable cage technology, the release said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
