Three things to know:

1. Launched in the U.S. in December, EOSedge fuses X-ray detection, low-dose radiation and HD resolution to improve musculoskeletal imaging exams. The system is designed to enhance patient comfort and optimize throughput.

2. Australia has 23 EOS devices, but this is the first EOSedge installation in the country, the company said in an Oct. 13 news release.

3. EOSedge features an open cabin with a motorized patient platform, which facilitates access and positioning for patients. The exam time takes less than 15 seconds.
