Gerard Hascoet was named chairman of the board on July 10. Here are five things to know about Mr. Hascoet:
1. He has more than 30 years of entrepreneurial and international experience, with previous positions at the medical technology branch of Thomson CGR. He founded Technomed International and Sometec, a hemodynamic monitoring company divested to Arrow International.
2. He was CEO of SpineVision from 2008 to 2011 and remains on the company’s board.
3. Mr. Hascoet co-founded MD Start, a European incubator for medical technology companies, where he currently serves as executive chairman.
4. He is a venture partner of Sofinna, a European healthcare venture firm.
5. The former chairman of the board Mike J. Dormer had been the chairman of the board since 2012.
