eCential Robotics spine product earns FDA nod

ECential Robotics earned FDA 510(k) clearance for a device to help plan and instrument spinal fusions, the medtech company said July 22.

ECential’s spine robot was developed in collaboration with DePuy Synthes, Johnson & Johnson’s orthopedic company, according to a news release. DePuy will leverage its reach to bring the device to the market.

ECential Robotics will continue to develop commercial activities of its Open eCential Platform in the U.S.
