Dr. Ray Baker to serve as Relievant Medsystems’ CMO — 5 points

Relievant Medsystems appointed Ray M. Baker, MD, as its new CMO.

1. Relievant Medsystems developed the Intracept Procedure, which is a minimally invasive treatment for chronic low back pain treatment. The technology shoots targeted energy into the spine while blocking pain signal transmission form the basivertebral nerve.

 

2. As CMO, Dr. Baker will guide technology development, clinical research strategy as well as commercial initiatives.

 

3. Dr. Baker has 30-plus years of pain management and industry leadership.

 

4. He served as a past president of the North American Spine Society and the Spine Intervention Society.

 

5. Dr. Baker previously served as vice president and executive medical director at Kirkland, Wash.-based Evergreen Health, as well as clinical professor and director of international pain services at Seattle-based University of Washington.
