Dr. Joseph Maroon joins ImmunSYS board of directors — 3 things to know

Biotechnology company ImmunSYS welcomed neurosurgeon Joseph Maroon, MD, to its board of directors, reports BioSpace.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Maroon is a clinical professor and vice chairman of the department of neurological surgery and Heindly Scholar in Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

2. He focuses on the surgical treatment of brain and spine conditions, specializing in minimally invasive surgery. He has been team neurosurgeon of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 1981 and is the medical director of the World Wrestling Entertainment.

3. ImmunSYS also added Charles Link, MD, Jeffery Cleland, PhD, and Norman Schwartz to its board of directors.
