Dr. Jason Rosenberg 1st in SC to implant Algovita SCS System — 5 things to know

Jason Rosenberg, MD, of Myrtle Beach-based SC Pain & Spine Specialists, was the first in South Carolina to implant Nuvectra’s Algovita Spinal Cord Stimulation System.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The FDA approved the Algovita SCS System for treating patients with chronic intractable pain.

 

2. The SCS system encompasses 24 current sources as well as a broad overall set of parametric ranges offered for tonic SCS.

 

3. The Algovita SCS System also features the market’s only stretchable leads, which are intended to cut the risk of lead fracture and migration.

 

4. The leads also have up to 12 contacts to hit a range of various pain areas.

 

5. Dr. Rosenberg completed an interventional pain management fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
