DJO Global completes Zimmer Biomet assets acquisition: 5 observations

DJO Global’s subsidiary DJO Surgical has closed its announced acquisition of assets from Zimmer Biomet.

Here are five observations:

 

1. Last week, DJO Global announced it was acquiring assets from the newly established Zimmer Biomet.

 

2. The assets include the Biomet Cobalt Bone Cement, Optivac Cement Mixing Accessories, SoftPac Pouch and Discovery Elbow System.

 

3. The Discovery Elbow is DJO’s first elbow technology. The Cobalt Bone Cement is designed for hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and other orthopedic technologies.

 

4. The acquisition comes on the heels of $14 billion Zimmer-Biomet merger that was completed last week.

 

5. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
