1. DePuy collaborated with Brainlab to offer the KICK System, which allows real-time intraoperative viewing of implants and instrumentation in regard to patient anatomy.
2. This visualization allows surgeons to accurately place pedicle screws.
3. The technology includes a portable infrared camera equipped with a computer and monitor.
4. The monitor shows up to four different X-ray images simultaneously, which is intended to help reduce operating room time.
5. Compatible with the VIPER System, the KICK System also works with the EXPEDIUM Spine System of implants to boost visualization during minimally invasive and traditional procedures.
